WHEREAS, the Arts and Science Student Council is the student government representation of the College of Arts and Sciences;
WHEREAS, Student Government Association (SGA) and Student Activity Fund Council (SAFC) corruption has led to extreme mismanagement of student funds and has discouraged student organization participation and development;
WHEREAS, the SAFs compile a fund of over $750,000;
WHEREAS, all ASSC organizations that request funds can be fully funded for less than 30% of the annual SAF budget;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the undersigned UMKC students believe that the ASSC annual budget should be fully funded to support and encourage A&S student activity at $126,673.69

The path forward has been grueling and the resistance from those in power remains exhausting. We are nearly at our next major milestone and I need you to keep pushing so they cannot ignore us when we reach that threshold.

Reaching this point has been draining but seeing so many of you acknowledge the mismanagement is validating. This support proves we are not alone in demanding accountability for these funds. I am tired of the runaround but we have momentum now.

The climb to our first milestone has been exhausting but we are getting near the mark. I need people to move now so we can show the administration that we refuse to let our funding be ignored.

Ridiculous how hard they make it to get funding for our clubs. We pay the fees so let us use the money for what we actually need.
UMKC needs to show the money. Simple as that.
Total mismanagement. My tuition and fees are going into a black hole while my org struggles to pay for basics.
Stop gatekeeping the funds. The arts department gets ignored way too much around here.
SO TIRED of SGA holding everything up. Give the council their funding already so we can actually host events this semester.

Fix this mess. A&S students deserve a fair share of that 750k instead of just watching it disappear.
