investment is needed to help stop the suffering that people are enduring from this hidden disease. It's peoples lives , city doctors need to be made more aware. Most cases/bites will happen in rural locations, but some victims will be city people, so more medical awareness needed.

The government also needs to ensure that GPs are better trained to diagnose & quickly treat patients with Lymes. There's too much devastating misdiagnosis & delay putting people at risk.

In the Netherlands people only became aware of this disease and its debilitating effects on mind and body, after some suffers had committed suicide, please help lyme disease suffers in the UK, where it has not received the same recognition yet.

Several neighbours of mine in the New Forest have had Lyme but imagine what it would do to tourism here if the public we're made more aware of it! How many visitors go home having been bitten and have no idea they might have contracted Lyme Disease?

Lyme disease is transmitted by ticks which don't usually pass on the infection for several hours. The infection can be treated effectively with antibiotics if detected quickly. So two chances to save people from a lifetime of pain, discomfort and misery and the NHS/insurance companies from spending huge amounts of money. Just raising awareness of the problem among the general public and health professionals could make a massive difference!!!

There is need for the government to address this issue, we are all affected and no one should count themself out. The disease knows no politics! period.

One of my friends has this disease and she suffers alone, she often feels unheard and undervalued, or paranoid because people don't seem to want to acknowledge this disease. some action here is needed for her, other and for future victims, like it could be myself or my children. Thank you

We need a definitive test for Lyme and doctors to be lyme literate. Also treatment to be readily available. And to do this we need lyme specialists and lyme research centres. The UK are failing at looking after it's people and effectively killing us. Money should not be an issue as if you get the treatment right there will be less money spent on doctors time, medication, benefits and all that comes with it. I am begging you to help me live.

When my friend developed symptoms of Lyme disease she was ignored by British doctors. Eventually, she was correctly diagnosed in Poland where she's receiving treatment now as no one in UK was able to treat her condition properly. It's sad, that despite being UK taxpayer for years, she has to pay for costly private treatment in foreign country.
