The government has finally signaled that they are listening and the rules are changing in our favor. I honestly never imagined we would get this kind of result when I first started this. Thank you for proving that persistence pays off.

From jan 2021 England , Wales and Scotland will be a part 2 listed country. A new health certificate will replace the pet passport . This is a single trip document issued by a vet authorised by Defra . This is a 7 page document and there will be a substantial cost each time you take a trip to Europe including NORTHERN IRELAND & the Republic of Ireland .People that travel to Europe & Ireland frequently with their pets , or for exhibitions will need a health certificate for each trip .
Dogs arriving in the uk from Europe or The whole of Ireland will be allowed with no change to the pet passport .other than those from Northern Ireland will need to get a passport to travel with their pet to the uk , which they did not previously .
Pet owners in the uk will be unfairly treated , no level playing field for us .
Britain is a rabies free country yet we are told we have to complete this new health certificate before we travel to Europe . & now northern Ireland. Countries that have history of rabies are allowed to travel on a pet passport .and enter the uk on this pet passport .
Dogs residing in Northern Ireland can still use the pet passport issued by the UK for travel to England , Scotland & Wales and the whole of the EU
We need to get thousands of signatures and let our government know this is not acceptable. We need our pet passport to be acceptable for travel . Just because we are no longer part of the EU does not mean our dogs are now unhealthy , or at risk of taking rabies into Europe .the pet passport is of European standard , nothings changed

This us crazy. My vet charges £250 g For an AHC. I travel to Europe to visit family and at that cost, is seems cheaper and less hassle to board my dog for 2 weeks.
The regulations means that because I have 5 dogs it would cost me in the region of £550.00 every time I wish to go abroad just for my dogs. Bloody ridiculous
I travel to dog shows each year in Northern Ireland and have never had to show a passport! We are rabies free in England so l don’t understand why we need one to travel to and fro, it’s madness and means we won’t travel and English & Irish businesses will suffer because of it.
I live in the U.K., I take my dogs in holiday with me in the U.K. but this legislation will require me to have pet passports and rabies jabs to move within the U.K. - because I live in Northern Ireland. This expense and administration burden is unfair
Why to go from uk to Ireland we even need rabies as both are free from it, we all have passpprts to show so why all the expence of having to now go to a vet for a health cert and worming?? No way would i worm my dogs 4 possibly 5 times a yr!!! Nothings changed with our pets just because we have come out of the Eu!!!

As it stands this change unfairly discriminates against UK dogs travelling to Europe but European dogs can still come to UK with no change. This is not fair and should be changed this is ludicrous as uk is rabies free whilst Europe is not.
