This us crazy. My vet charges £250 g
For an AHC. I travel to Europe to visit family and at that cost, is seems cheaper and less hassle to board my dog for 2 weeks.

Without a pet passport, the cost of travelling to Europe is more expensive for a pet than its owner when you add on the extra cost or worming for dogs in BOTH directions

Not having a UK pet passport is totally unfair on UK pets and their owners. It is total ridiculous after all these years of free pet passport move, to limited movement of UK pets ,whilst European pets can have the same previous free unlimited movement.

The regulations means that because I have 5 dogs it would cost me in the region of £550.00 every time I wish to go abroad just for my dogs. Bloody ridiculous

Uk has the highest animal welfare standards in the world. This totally unnecessary and another case odf the EU making life difficult.
Uk Second home owners and tourists contribute so much to the EU economy - Ask for nothing and yet are treated as second class citizens

It was the UK who invented the pet passport in the first place. Hugely Practical as it was it was adopted throughout the EU. With UK left the EU, cannot see why they have to replace this scheme with a bureaucratic, expensive travel scheme which I don't see reduce any risk related to transfer of diseases. Our vet has told us they aren't waiting for this additional admin heavy activity. They are busy as it is.

This is utterly ridiculous idea and will have detrimental effect on showing and tourism in Northern Ireland. I see no reason why there should be any changes to the law even with travel within the EU it is again EU bureaucracy gone mad.
