I want to petition the government to force them to request that U.K. citizens can stay in the Shengen zone for 6 months continuously rather than only being allowed 90 in 180 days. Schengen citizens can currently stay in the U.K. for 180 days continuously in a year. This is a totally unfair situation for people who have homes in Shengen zones and want to stay over 90 in 180 days.

The current limitation to 90 days in 180 days means that after spending summer in my holiday home I can't return at Christmas. This is bad for the economy, bad for my home & sad for me and my friends. This limit serves no useful purpose.

My husband and I have a property in Spain and this rule is ruining our retirement plans. We just want to spend the whole winter in the sun but keep having to rush back. It is so unfair compared to how we treat people coming here.
