The landlord has agreed to renew the lease and allow the shop to remain on Ives Street. This outcome affirms the value of a neighborhood business that truly serves its community. We will keep a watchful eye on the transition to ensure the terms hold firm for years to come.

Ugly American Burgers has been a staple to local families and individuals for healthy, home-made, innocent, all-natural and farm fresh american food. It is a family owned business that re-invented the quality of burgers and comfort food and offers healthy alternatives to vegans and vegetarians at a value price. The landlord refuses to extend their lease beyone January 2013, without any official arguments, enforcing them to abandon their establishment and loyal customers without sufficient notice, or relocation time or any other business incentive. We vote with our petition that we want Ugly American Burgers to stay on 167 Ives St, Providence, RI 02906

The landlord is being greedy. Ugly American has the best veggie burgers in pvd. We need them to stay!!

Everything is fresh and local and the owners are so nice. Why would anyone want them out? Makes no sense.

This place is a staple on the East Side. So sad to see a small business get pushed out like this for no reason!

Ugly American is the only reason I come to Ives St. Super unfair treatment for a great local spot.
