I have had my car written off twice as the result of speeding drivers losing control on Tyldesley Road where I live. I think lights are needed at the junction with Tyldesley Old Road as huge articulated lorises turn here.
My brother and sister in law live just on that junction and we had just left their house 10 mins before the accident yesterday 1/9/16 ., that could easily have been us what he had hit . Something desperately needs to be done on that stretch of road .
This is happening far to often drivers use tyldesley road like a race track I myself have had two drivers crash into my front garden and have witnessed several more incidents we need traffic calming measures before someone gets killed.
My boyfriends grandad lives on Tyldesley Road and during the night his car and his neighbours car has been hit. His grandads car was left a mess, mirror left in the road, whole side of the car completely bashed in and the driver just drove off! People fly down that road, definately needs a camera or speed bumps!
I've lived on and just of tyldesley road with my 3 children for15 years. This road is lethal and doesn't just need speed cameras but also somewhere safe for people to cross
3 times I have suffered because speeding drivers costing me thousands traffic lights and speed cameras are needed desperately needed here!!!
The real problem are cars parked on each side of the road which is too narrow for a major through road.

With a speed camera on Tyldesley road would not solve the problem totally it would deter some idiots.but it also needs a mirror opposite the junction off Tyldesley old Road joining Tyldesley road as that is a very bad blind junction.
