The cot of electricity is extremely high. There is no way they should be a 343 light bill for 2 people that are never even at the house except to sleep.

I live in palestine just south of the Anderson/henderson county line and last month my bill was $150.00 this month $380.00. Nothing at my house has changed. Obama said, months ago that electricity bills would Necessarily Skyrocket. He had the coal fired plants in this country shut down because he said coal is bad for the environment.

Last week when I received my bill I was completely floored! When I called TVEC to question my outrageous bill I was told the increase was due to colder weather! BULL! The weather was mostly nice and even cold days were not that cold! Rep then points out last year's bill $400 well this one is $500 plus I had learned from that $400 bill from last year to be more careful. Plus I more people living with me, and now it is only me and my daughter. Plus prior to that month I lost the use of my washer & dryer and was using the laundry mat. Plus we now get home way later than we use to because of my work and I program my heat/ac to kick off during the day. So I most definitely did not think given all that my bill would jump from $260 to $500 since nothing was any different from the month prior to this billing! I definitely want answers!
