We the area residents of Turney Drive and surrounding areas petition the Region of Peel to remove and replace the defective “acoustic” fences and walls backing onto Erin Mills Parkway, between Hargood Place and Thomas St., including the brick walls at Vista Blvd.
We are aware that the City of Mississauga has replaced several acoustic barriers in Mississauga after realizing that such costs cannot be borne by the homeowner. As a good citizen of the Region of Peel I am requesting that the Region do the right thing and replace these walls and fences, thus following the precedent set by the City of Mississauga.
I fully support this petition and demand that immediate action be taken by the Region to address safety, environmental and aesthetic concerns this issue has brought to the area.

I really never pictured so many neighbors actually jumping on board with this wall thing but seeing the comments roll in makes me realize we are all just tired of looking at those eyesores. It is honestly wild how much momentum we have now because who knew a fence could get everyone so energized.

The noise level has gotten way out of hand lately. Cant even sit in the backyard anymore without hearing every single car on the parkway. Fix the wall already.
Living right against that wall is a nightmare. It looks terrible and does absolutely nothing to block the sound. Peel region needs to step up.

TOTAL EYESORE AND THE NOISE IS INSANE. GET IT DONE.
