Regarding the thermostat the following. It is more common that landlords do not give tenants access to the thermostat. This is often done because international students set the temperature too high. However, this is not allowed. As a tenant you are entitled to enjoy the rented room (in Dutch: recht op woongenot) and because you are not able to regulate the temperature yourself, your right to enjoy living is reduced. We can send our signed petition to studentstay with our legal advice letter and send an email with a request to repair the defect by giving us access to the thermostat.

Studentstay clearly thought they could keep us freezing in our own rooms without any pushback. This momentum shows they were dead wrong and now they have no choice but to face the demands of their own tenants.

Room 131. Complained about this already and all i got was a disappointing feedback :)
unbelievable student stay emails sent at night before ten are never replied and neither the emergency number provided.

Its freezing in here honestly sleeping with 3 blankets and my coat on just to get through the night. Room 204.
