Councillors Minnan-Wong, Di Giorgio, Kelly, Palacio, and Crisanti have fired TTC General manager Gary Webster without cause (admitted by Councillor Di Giorgio). By firing a highly respected individual for disagreeing with the mayor, they have shown that they believe loyalty to the mayor to be more important than responsible, informed decision making. This totalitarian view of government and their unwillingness to accept and implement expert advice shows that they cannot be trusted to act in the interests of Toronto. They are irresponsible and unfit to make such important decisions for Toronto's future. They should be removed from the TTC board immediately.
