Prince George's County Council decreased the services related to trash pick up from 2 days a week to 1 day a week thereby creating a public health risk for the citizens and sanitation problems for the county. Sign this petition to make the Council aware of your disappointment with the decision and urge them to immediately change the pick up schedule back to two days per week. #Bring2Back
The stench in my neighborhood has become unbearable since they cut the service down to one day. I have been documenting the overflowing bins on my block and sending those photos directly to the Council office every single morning.

Seeing this momentum grow proves I am not the only neighbor tired of the filth collecting on our streets. This level of support shows the Council that our health is not something they can discard to save a few dollars.

This is another, "tackle the symptom" approach... rather than to root cause of REDUCING trash creation in the first place. Many people already are reducing due to recycling and composting. Making trash pick-up one day a week will motivate people to get on the reduction program.

Please reinstate two days a week trash collection. Storing trash outside of the home for several days had lead to an increase of critters in our community.

Bring back trash pickup two days a week. Especially during the summer months. The trash stink because the temperatures are hot out. One trash can don't work from once a week trash.

Please restore 2 days a week trash pick up. 1 day per week is not enough to sanitarily accommodate the huge volume of refuse generated by our citizens.
