The comments pouring in from fellow Maldivians show that I am not alone in my deep anger toward these betrayalous calls for foreign intervention. I am spending my time tracking the fallout of his statements while ensuring our message reaches the people who need to be held accountable. We refuse to let our national sovereignty be disregarded by someone who claims to represent human rights.

Seeing this amount of support for our country fills me with such pride and reminds me why I started this fight. We have built real momentum because so many of you refuse to stay silent while our sovereignty is threatened.

Never thought I would see a maldivian ask for an invasion. So sad to see this happen to our country.

How can a man call for his own country to be invaded? Absolutely shameful behavior from someone who should know better.
