This petition is to request PARKER County Texas and/or the city of WEATHERFORD located in Parker county Texas to completely overhaul and renovate Trailwood Drive (the road). In accordance with the City of Weatherford Parker County Texas CODE of ORDINANCES, ARTICLE III. SUBDIVISION DESIGN STANDARDS, Sec. 11-3-1. Streets. (2) General adequacy policy. Every subdivision shall be served by improved streets....... Proposed streets shall provide a safe, convenient and functional system for traffic circulation...... On WEDNESDAY the 27 TH day of FEBRUARY 2008 the HONORABLE COMMISSIONERS COURT of PARKER COUNTY, released the Maintenance Bond on Sandstone Estates, a subdivision located in Precinct # 4 and accept into COUNTY MAINTENANCE the following roads Lane located off of Highway 730 and: (Commissioner Webster) TRAILWOOD DRIVE (the Road). Today NO maintenance has been completed by the county or city. The road is not safe to drive and is not safe for our children living in the area. The narrow road causes oncoming traffic into the opposite driving lanes trying to avoid severe potholes. Large oversized trucks are ruining the road. Many vehicles are speeding on the road. As such the following should be completed as soon as possible: 1. Widen the road. 2. Provide for proper drainage 3. Pave the road 4. Post 20 MPH speed limit 5. Reconstruct driveways and mailboxes 6. Redirect oversized trucks outside the use of Trailwood drive 7. Provide for sidewalks.
