With the increase of traffic on Custer Road, getting out of Hemingway Townhomes during rush hour traffic is not only difficult but impossible to turn safely onto Custer from either Paradise or Whitehead. We propose that a traffic study be performed to determine if a traffic signal would allow the residents of Hemingway a safer turn out of our neighborhood when completing it with the aid of a traffic signal.
I spent an hour watching the cars stack up at the exit today and it only reinforced how dangerous this intersection has become for my neighbors. My own near miss here is what started this effort and I am not stopping until we get a real solution.

Seeing this level of support reminds me exactly why I started this fight after that terrifying near-miss with my own car last month. It feels like the neighborhood is finally pulling together to fix this constant danger we face every time we leave our driveways.

A traffic light is needed before the preschool near CVS opens. We are already having a large number of "U-Turns" from southbound to northbound at Whitehead. This greatly adds to the danger at this intersection.

A traffic light at this intersection has been needed for a few years. Now with the increased population in our subdivison and the increaded traffic flow on Custer from state hwy 121 towards hwy 380 and into Prosper... IT IS NOT SAFE TO CROSS THE STREET! On several accounts I have had to inch my way into traffic and settle with turning right (heading N) rather than the intended going south because of traffic delays. Someone will be fatally hurt at this intersection.

While trying to turn Southbound in the mornings is near impossible, it is downright scary to turn either direction out of our subdivision in the evenings between 5:00 and 7:00! A light would help tremendously.

A traffic light at this intersection is very much needed. Trying to get out of the develpment to go South on Custer is very tricky and almost impossible during rush hour.

A traffic light would be great, specially when some of our neighbors don't want to wait for the car in front of them and block the view of the first car on line to go south bound.

I truly hope a red light can be installed, before a fatality happens. I have seen numerous times someone trying to get across to the other side and barely being missed.
