My sympathies to the family at this most tragic time. Many have tried over the years to make this road safer, I truly hope the authorities will now do the right thing without delay.

its a very cancerous road, traffic use it as a race track. its about time the drivers get manners. Any assistance to keep pedestrians safe is a bonus! I do hope something is done and soon.

The speed limit needs to be reduced 40 is far to fast . I have never driven 40 down Friday Steet !! 30 is fast enough and if people want to go faster go to Golden Jubilee Way !!

Tragic. There was a death in virtually the same spot a few years ago. Oak Tree Lane being closed off probably makes children think there's no traffic.

Because of the increase in traffic and the area being built up more the speed should be dropped to 30 all the way and a pesdestrian controlled pelican crossing so onl stops traffic when someone pushes the button so will help keep traffic flowing along with the ease of crossing for pesdestrians but my final thoughts go out to the families who have lost loved ones no only on Friday Street but all over the country especislly at this time .

R.I.P ; it's sad how a little girl has been taken too soon because they didn't have a zebra crossing or traffic lights... Maybe the council will see this as a major hazard and see sense! My condolences too the young girls family & friends.x
