An awful tragedy. such a shame it takes something like this to make people think about safety. Please god let this petition help and save this from happening again.

So sad such a young life take too soon, these tragic events can be prevented by sensible action being taken. An old speed limit which is now (due to the increase in schools and houses in Stone Cross/Langney) out of touch and dangerous. Only one set of lights between Langney shopping centre roundabout and the Red Lion pub... disgrace! If you want a quick swift journey then use golden jubilee! Friday Street/Lion hill is now heavily residential, with many school children walking and crossing! 40mph is ludicrous. particularly on the blind bend coming downhill under the bridge past the recreational park!

It's a dangerous road with few places to cross safely. Such a shame it's taken a little girls life to spark the need for lights or a crossing but it will hopefully be put in lace in her memory.

traffic lights are needed on this street not an island crossing. A child's life has been taken when it could have been avoided.

Such a sad thing to happen to a family let alone so close to xmas. About time something was done about this road x

It shouldn't take a little girl to lose her life to ensure all roads have safe crossings especially in residential areas, near schools, parks and shopping centres.

it shouldn't take such a heartbreaking situation for things to change. things should be done to prevent things like this happening.

My thoughts are with all involved and those who witnessed. The speed limit needs to be slowed to 30 on that road. I travel it everyday.

We moved to this side of town in august, I have only been driving for a year and the 40mph speed limit on frifay street shocked me. I thought "Wow this is so residential." Friends from the school my son attends had already mentioned there being no crossing and it being hard to cross with children. I am really ababout out what has happened, my boy is 5 and I cannot imagine the pain this family is feeling. I am praying.
