Dear Neighbors,
We now have all the data in hand about what our neighborhood thinks about traffic on our roads. Please have a look at the results here.
The next step is a petition to the city. Please take a moment to sign the petition to the city of West Lake Hills to request installation of traffic calming measures on N Peak and Gentry. Neighbors overwhelmingly have requested a combination of:
- Speed bumps, most urgently near the corner to slow traffic, but all along both roads has been requested by many;
- Mirrors on corner to enhance visibility on a blind corner; and
- Signs to encourage slower speeds.
Thank you for taking them time to sign this petition!

I am pleased to see the neighborhood response to the traffic issues on North Peak. Robbie Davis and Stacy Schoolfield addressed this issue with the City in the Fall of 2001 / Winter of 2002. One traffic study was performed by the WLPD. A second was done by Mike McInturff, P.E. of WHM Transportation Engineering Consultants, Inc. Limiteds changes and improvements were instituted by the City Council in office at that time. Since the population demographics have changed in our neighborhood since the 2002 Traffic Study Report, I am hopeful that the present City Council will be more sympathetic to enacting further safety changes for both pedestrian and car traffic.
