We have been in contact with Graeme Easte from Community Board over traffic in Walker Rd. AT transport put traffic counter out for a couple of weeks. Not holding my breath over them putting in traffic calming measures.

Some cars are trying to break "speed records" on Walford Road, must stop for children safety.

Huia Road is used as a cut through for traffic in the peak times, cars speed at these times and also during week-ends. We have a slight dip just outside our house and the cars speed up for this. Us and our neighbours all have young children and we are all worried about the speed and traffic. I have also attended a couple of accidents where cars have not stopped at the intersection and have experienced several near misses myself.

I would support speed bumps on all the bird streets to increase child safety and reduce speed. reducing speed in these streets would also make them safer for cyclists

We definitely need speed humps on Moa Rd the car race down it! It is very dangerous.

Moa Road. 60-70km/hr typical. Frequent higher speeds seen. Large traffic flow at rush hour mornings north-south and afternoons south- north.

Speed calming measures are a necessary first step. But lower and enforced speed limits are needed too. Even the local board told me they want lower speed limits, too. It is Auckland Transport who won't budge, and those dinosaurs need to be pushed.

Well done everyone - we're 1/4 the way to our target. Please remember to share with your networks, especially online. We'll be door knocking weekend after next (28/29 November) to add to this list and anyone who can help is most welcome. cheers

This needs to happen before a child is killed.

14 Muripara Ave Pt Chev Walker Road especially and streets surrounding walker park, always boy racers at night, have seen many near misses around the park with children. Speed humps are a must!!!

Whilst I don't live down a Bird St...Walker Road has horrific problems with speeding cars, buses and very limited access when the park is in full swing. So far only domestic pets have been killed...but it's only a matter of time.

This is a real problem. The size of most of these streets is out of proportion to there appropriate use. Wide fast streets aren't needed in a residential area. In addition the intersection of Meola with Pt Chev Road coild be improved.
