Traffic calming with 30km/hr residential quiet zones accompanied by speed bumps and red stripes at the entry so drivers are warned would be something for all residential streets in Auckland. Good on the Pt Chev people for pulling together on this serious issue.

Hi All
Once again, thanks for signing up. I'm currently chasing media now we're at a level of good support to help boost awareness of the campaign, and I'll also be making contact with our local board and Auckland Transport to push things along. Watch this space...
And a very merry and safe Xmas to all.

Yes, boy car races in particular at night are a common phenomenon in the wide bird streets without existing bumpers or anything to slow them down. They definitely need to get discouraged. Thanks for this initiative.

Yes lets do something about this. It maybe a good time to also look into Buxton Street where without notified consent we now have a Daycare. This daycare is supposed to go from about 20 kids to over 60 (again not notified). Just worried about increased traffic around school time where the street has always been used for drop offs and pick ups from school in the next street.

Speeding drivers are a real problem in Kiwi Road. I have had years of worry and concern over this. Many children, animals and aged at high risk.

The speed that cars travel through this area, I am amazed there have not been more accidents! With a high number of young families in the area something has to be done!

traffic in residential streets is too fast! We live on huia rd, which is often used as a short cut for avoiding pt chev rd. I fear for my kids, my cat, the wing mirrors on my car. Slow down people!

I am a student at university and have lived in Huia Road for most of my childhood. The traffic and speed in this street is to many and to fast for a resudential street. I think they should be for residents only like some streets in Freemans Bay.
