Incredibly dangerous when communters use Kiwi Road, as a short-cut highway.

Walker road quiet busy one, evening and weekends problems. People usually driving up from the Eric Armishwaw reserve would speed. Often speeding even when kids d play at Walker Park by the road. Scarry really.

Moa Road is like a motorway these days with cars racing up and down at crazy speeds. The council put in a crossing at the bottom of a rise where cars race down at full speed, only a matter of time before someone is killed.

Living on Moa rd has become like having front row seats to the speedway. Added to the degree of speed is in the quantity of traffic cutting between Great North Rd and Meola. Having police make an appearance in the 'birds' would also be another speeding deterant .

I have a young daughter 3yrs old and know of a lot of young families in the area and have seen many cars travelling way too fast around Daycares at drop off! around the local streets of Pt Chev it is only a matter of time before someone is hurt! Or worse!!!

I fully support any claiming measures that can be implemented in the bird streets. The traffic speed is particularly fast in the late afternoon when kids are around, I've had a couple of close calls walking my 2 young sons.

The speeds that most cars travel up Huia road is horrific, We had an accident 2 houses up from us last year, an idiot speeding crashed into a house.

Most drivers are fine but occasionally there will be someone screaming down or up Walmer Rd and we have speed bumps

It's unnecessary to drive at the speeds some people do and drag around the streets late at night. All people and their beloved family pets are at risk. Lower the speed, put in cameras and re-route the traffic.

Hi Mark. My name is Ophelia Buckleton and I am a final year AUT journalism student. I am currently writing a story on your petition and drivers who speed along these streets. Would you be available for an interview on the matter? Thanks, Ophelia

More courteous driving and obeying stop signs for these roads and the rest of Pt Chevalier is important. As SALT (Slower and Less Traffic) emphasised, it's our neighbours and their children that we are risking.

Moa is a cut through and people speed down it but there is a lot of kids on this st .
Plus all kids who attend Pasadena and western springs go this way.

Auckland Transport and Auckland Council we request you to urgently introduce traffic calming measures to the 'Bird" Streets and other side streets in our suburb of Pt. Chevalier before someone gets killed. Thank You.
