Hi all! Please see this consultation on the AT!! Great progress! I ask that you please request additional raised tables on Wakatipu Street and Kiwi Road (and your street if there are issues there!). https://at.govt.nz/about-us/have-your-say/central-auckland-consultations/tui-street-and-moa-road-point-chevalier-raised-tables/

Would like to see someway to stop people speeding down Tui Street as a way to avoid the Great North/Pt Chev Rd lights.

We have had two serious crashes in the space of two weeks last year on Riro street. Something needs to be done to protect our children.

A few months ago a speeding car crashed into my front fence in Kiwi Road. It also demolished the boundary fence between my neighbour’s property and mine. This has caused us much upset and some expense over a period of months.

I totally agree with this petition. I feel unsafe at the first intersection from Meola on Walford. You can’t see down the road on the right because of truck and portaloos at construction site.

Very concerned at the speeds through Wakatipu St & Huia Rd. The stop signs are often ignored and there’s a high accident rate. Buses have started using these roads while out of service which is also dangerous. Despite ongoing complaints buses continue to use the roads as a shortcut.

The speed of traffic on my road (Wakatipu Street) is a major issue for residents. I fear for the safety of kids in the area crossing the roads. There are also frequent accidents occurring at the intersections, where speed is often a factor.

We've had 2 high speed accidents with injuries directly in front of our house on Riro St. This has been a serious health and safety problem for years. It's beyond time to fix it. My children, and the whole whanau, should have the freedom to get around our neighbourhood safely and independently. And lower speed limits to 30km would be great -- but would mean absolutely nothing without enforcement. Signage isn't enough. Consequences for breaking the law are essential. Thank you for helping make Point Chev, and Auckland, the thriving inclusive community we all want to be part of.

Please! Sick of people driving like menaces in this area, causing crashes and making the area so unsafe for everyone - whether on foot, bike, or car.

Calm the city streets - all residential streets to 30km.

Meola Road desperately needs to be made much wider as the lanes are too narrow with people parking on each side! It’s like driving a “Chicken Run” for vehicle drivers in either direction! Bloody dangerous!

They need to look into Buxton St too since the council allowed the new daycare to have twice the occupancy levels that is normally allowed under current regulations. Potentially another 85 car movements at the beginning and end of each day.

More cycle lanes for the kids to cycle to school and less cars!

And now Paddles has died. This is a tragedy but will hopefully highlight the issues we face here...

We had to install a high fence in part to block out the sound of hard accelerating short cut takers down moa rd.
