Keep the streets between Meola Rd and Great North Rd safe with lower speeds.

Moa Road is a speedway. I've seen a few near misses with kids. Unfortunately, it's a ticking timebomb.

I live on Moa and this road is like a racetrack for cars cutting through. The intersection on Moa/Tui gets regular accidents and it's only a matter of time someone is seriously hurt. So many children use these roads and crossings to get to the 3 nearby schools

These streets are teeming with kids walking to Pasadena, Western Springs College, and Pt Chev school in the mornings. They need to be safer!!!

Pedestrian visibility at the intersection of Tui and Walmer (Great North Road side) is very poor due to the cars parked on Walmer. I have walked the length of Tui several times a week for kindy drop off/pick up over the past 3yrs and seen many school-age kids either gap it across or bail and retreat whilst crossing at this point. It's very dangerous during "rush hour".

I live in one of the bird streets. Be good to have some speed bumps etc as these streets are used as a thoroughfare during peak times to cut through and avoid main road traffic. There are lots of children in the area. It's not safe. Have also had a couple of cars pull out when they're at a stop sign in front of me when driving. One was a very near accident (me, the truck that pulled out and a car on a give way). The truck was at fault and would have smashed into the other car and I would have smashed into the truck. Not nice when you're almost home from work and almost have an accident. People barely stop at the stop signs and sometimes don't stop at all. So dangerous for other motorists and pedestrians.

We need more safety measures in the bird streets. With traffic backing up from pt Chev rd/great north rd intersection, too many cars are choosing to race through Wakatipu and adjoining streets to get further down the traffic towards the city. Same in the evenings.

Bird Streets, and Wakatipu Street are long overdue for better safety measures to be put in place.

People use these streets to try to “get ahead” in the traffic on the main roads causing them to drive hurriedly and dangerously.

There is often a lot of cars parked in the streets too so more care should be taken anyway. I drive carefully through the bird streets so that I don't hit another car.
