I think this is a great idea. At my school we have the same lunch. I think we should change the way people at school make lunches.

We get tested so much & they dont even feed us enough to keep a toddler from being hungry. How do you expect children who can bring a lunch to school to take a state test on an empty stomach. Not only are the portions very small but the food is highly disgusting & most of the time is not all the way cooked. It is not fair that teachers get to eat food from outside of school in our faces while we eat the slob that's thrown on a tray to us.

Not to be rude but if you go to TMC or know anyone there you would know that most of us don't get much sleep due to all of our homework and most of us have to wake up early to catch buses to school, now I get about 4 hours of sleep a day so if you can explain to me where I can fit packing my own lunch into my schedule then I would be more that happy to do it.

The green and clear plastic box has been a highlight of my lunch experience at DISD. This is not to say it was good. Even the box, questionable as it was, was a welcome change to our usual lunches. The usual lunches are so incredibly questionable that I often decide to eat only the fruit for my own good. We need real lunches. The ball is in your court, DISD.

Sad just sad. So not only are the elementary kids getting served this but the high school students too. DISD has failed on so many levels it's beyond ridiculous. My ten year old has mentioned a snack pack to me a few times and she attends Clara Oliver Elementary. Like some of you stated how are students suppose to function and focus off something like that? On top of that and let me mention how students can't pass these test either most likely due to not getting the proper nutrition meal at school. Goes to show you why some parents don't want there kids in any DISD schools due to lack of alot of things. Feed these kids and I guarantee they will see a difference.
