- considerably lower the uniform prices from this year onward.(40 to 50%) with incremental discounts when purchase amounts reach certain milestones.
- Take our current and future financial concerns into account in future school strategic planning to support our ability to keep our children in this great school.
- Practice inclusive communication with parents through recognizing, respecting, respecting and using all forms of transparent, timely and open communication especially in decisions with financial and educational implications.
Details of Petition
BAC has been our children’s second home for years and years, providing excellent education and care. Most of the parents of the school belong to middle class, struggling with the current economical emergency to sustain their ability to support their families. During the last couple of years different increases in the tuition were slid in directly through fees increase and indirectly through stationary and books cost. Most decisions with major impact on our children are repeatedly communicated on September every year where we no longer have a say in accepting or rejecting; Neither we have the ability to plan to accommodate financially without being burdened.
Just this week we were faced with the prices of the new uniform that exceed the prices of most brands we the middle class buy from. Winter clothes prices are not communicated yet, which again highlights delayed communication. Unit prices are not radically changed from last year, YET, last year we didn’t have to buy all costumes from school as we had other “unofficial alternatives” and we had uniforms from siblings already available for reuse. at another level these minor uplifts in price will accumulate as we need to buy duplicates.
We DO NOT oppose the school administration in any way, we are looking for understanding our requests. We are willing to buy this year and every year solely from the school if the prices were reasonable instead of searching for unofficial suppliers to ease our financial burdens. We will be assigning representative of this petition to communicate with the school openly and cooperatively.
We are partners with the school towards our kids’ ultimate education, and we thank all BAC parents who will support our righteous cause.

We have always believed in this school administration, and felt that our concerns are getting addressed. Parent within the school are frustrated and their ability to sustain their and their kids’ situations in our beloved school is being jeopardized for minor non academic concerns. Thank you for taking our concerns into account. We entrust in your cooperation and consideration and would be holding all uniform purchase until we receive further feedback.
First the prices in general are too expensive Second the prices versus the usual quality are too expensive as well School supplement!! Arent we buying it from outside the school? Then what are u offering our kids(1000$+!!!!!!!!)
-Quite upsetting, having to throw away the existing uniforms of my 3 kids and buy completely new ones at a short notice! -Does adding a small signature to a jeans justify such exaggerated prices?!
My son still has 2 years to graduate and he has his and his graduate brother costume as well as the new red jacket that we bought las year .i think we have more things to pay for than a new costume
I am father of Hiba, grade 5 We were surprised about the changing to the new uniform which is not better than the previous one. How come the pants now are jeans? Why the prices are more expensive than equivelant quality? Please look over the cost again. All of us including school adminstration and teachers are parents and we all know how much life is coming harder.
Why can't we buy our own Jeans?
