Three Oaks Middle School’s dress code continues to crack down on more and more unnecessary clothing restrictions. Making uniform shopping not only stressful, but makes sitting in class uncomfortable and distracting, defeating the purpose. They most recently banned pants that taper at the ankles. Why? Many students wear such pants and posed no distractions and wore them confidently and comfortably. This takes away a large portion of the uniform bottoms students can wear in school. Some students spend weeks trying to find a pair of pants that are their style and fall into the strict dress code. Consider Cypress Lake Middle School, they still have a uniform to create an equal, productive learning environment however it is nowhere near as constricting. For example, their students can wear jeans everyday of the school week along with patterned and solid polos, while remaining modest. Their school report card reflects how schools can perform outstandingly on testing without excessive uniforms. Please consider how unnecessarily far Three Oaks Middle School has taken their uniform to “help” students. Please reconsider the dress code! All of the pants that were acceptable pants last year, that still fit my daughter, are no longer acceptable. I would rather spend the money on educational needs and extracurricular activities that’s replacing perfectly fine pants.
Please concentrate on quality of education students are receiving. Ankle cropped pants do not reflect a student's ability to learn and do not distract other students from learning!
My oldest daughter graduation TOMS 12 years ago. My youngest son is just entering 6th grade. Was always a uniform school and I agree with the shirts. We definitely need more pants options though. Is an elastic or tapered ankle pants really going to ruin their education? I personally work more effectively when I am comfortable.
I have the worlds pickiest and hard to shop for child. I feel like I finally found her pants that will work and now I'm back to the drawing board because they are "skinny fit"...this is very frustrating as a parent!!!
There is no reason for this rule. It’s not hurting anyone or distracting anyone. All the rule is doing is making students spend more money on uniforms when they already have the perfect ones.

This is 2019 not 1819. We wore way less to school in the 70s and guess what. There was no problem with the guys. So quit shaming our girls. You all should be ashamed. What did you wear to school ? Did you have a problem ?

Most students already bought a bunch of these pants because this brand fits really well. These pants are not only expensive but also perfect for dress code, if we can’t wear these pants then there are barley any other options.
