In the summer of 2019, back Cape Hurd road, there was a viscous dog attack. The victim met the 50+lb dog previously on multiple visits, and never had any problems. On the victims last visit, he was there to do handyman jobs just like in the past. The dog was aware he was there, and was not leashed which was normal. However. on this occasion, not leashing the animal would prove to be fateful.

We will never know what caused the dog to suddenly attack the victim. It happened fast and furious, the victim had to drive himself to the hospital. 23 visits to the hospital in the following month, 6 weeks of treatments in the hyperbaric chamber, and still enduring ongoing treatment. leaving the victim with a huge amount pain, which may never be eased, and permanent nerve damage, which may never be cured.

This dog is still running loose, never leashed, and we fear this may happen again. We need to bring attention to this matter, so it may be resolved before another unprovoked, viscous attack occurs. What if it is a child next time?

We are using this petition to spread awareness, and gather support for this cause. Perhaps the MNBP and the Ministry of Health will step up and do something to prevent another attack from this dog. Thank you for considering supporting this cause.
