On Monday, July 3rd, 2023, Shailesh and Abhilasha Awasthy's Mini Aussie dog Lacey was viciously mauled in their own driveway by a loose American bully dog Smoke, owned by their next-door neighbor Jason and Sheena Poston resident of 1001 Grassy Shore Ln, Prosper. As this petition is being put together Lacey's severely punctured stomach, dog bites and severe bruises on its owner's body are being treated and are yet to show any sign of healing. This same American Bully dog viciously attacked another dog Darby and caused its owner Taylor Moody injuries and aberrations below its knee just 2 weeks before the above-mentioned incidence. Between Dec 2021 and July of 2022 the same American Bully dog attacked 3 more residents of the same community on Grassy shore Ln close to the amenity center. While one of the residents wants to stay anonymous, the other 2 residents are Jerry Nugent (their dog Mandy) and Ryan (their dog Remey). Each of them got injuries thanks to negligence of the American Bully dog's owner Jason Poston. After incidence in June, 2023, Jason promised to relocate the dog, however no serious action was taken. Since this vicious dog is a breeder and is a source of income for its owner, residents have all the reason to believe his latest promise to relocate the dog will meet same fate.

We would like to petition the City of Prosper as well as Animal Control to take action against Jason and Sheena Poston for negligence and to remove this aggressive dog from our neighborhood permanently. We deserve to feel safe in our community without the threat of repeated attacks on our pets and the imminent possible attack on one of our citizens. We'd like to have something done before the next death is upon one of our children.

im still talking to animal control and trying to get someone out here to actually look at these reports because the neighbors are still feeling unsafe in their own yards. thanks to everyone who keeps sending me their stories about what happened because it proves this isnt just a one time thing.

Victims have been bullied by both the dog and its owner. Our neighborhood is not safe for anyone walking their dog and that is insane. This dog is an unneutered male dog used for breeding - making it even m,ore viscious. Neighbors care about neighbors not set them up for viscious attack.

This dog is going to kill eventually. I can speak from experience. It happened to us in our previous neighborhood.

After 5 instances, Smoke needs euthanized. They have made empty promises of rehoming him in the past only for him to stay and attack more victims. It seems that they also breed him which makes me wonder if he’s truly a family pet or a money maker for them?

From everything I have heard from witnesses who were there, this dog and the owner are irresponsible and a nuisance to the community. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. This is the 5th brazen incident where nothing has been done so far. People are coming out and we’ve all had enough.

Pets with clear history of aggrasive behavior should be removed from the community. Owner of the pet should take responsibility for all the incidents. Legal action should be taken against the owner for his negligence.

This dog is not Neighbourhood friendly. We loves dogs but this one is very aggressive in nature. It charged at me and my kid once, as it was not kept on leash. luckily the owner was right there and he had to come running and dragging the canine away. Definitely have to be taken out. It’s like a king cobra as a pet and not put on leash or caged properly.

Not ok. Keep dog inside on confined property or on a leash. History too long for any leniency
