To replace assessments in September for our junior cert with a mixture of online assessment and predictive grading
As many of you are aware the department of education made an announcement on the 10th April to cancel the junior cert and replace it with some form of assessments that will take place in school at the beginning of the next school year. We are not yet sure what these assessments will be but there is speculation that we will just sit our junior cert paper in a classroom environment.
By signing this petition you are supporting the choice to cancel these assesments in September and replace them with a mixture of online assessments over the next few weeks and some form of predictive grading. Similar to what Presentation Kilkenny and Coláiste Bhaile Chláir have chosen to do.

PLEASE just scrap it i dont want to be in school in sept stressing about junior cert exams when i should be starting a new year
the uncertainty is the worst part, just give us predictive grades so we can actually enjoy our summer holidays
Not fair wasting our whole summer studying we won’t be aloud do anything shyest so why make it worse by making us study for the next couples of months for something that we aren’t prepared for or don’t know what it will be based on
Id rather have it iver the summer as i dont think it would be fair for girls doing ty to have to do it then and the same for 5th years as 5th is a stressful year already they dont need to worry about this aswell
Not fair as we have missed so much school and do not know what to expect when we go back in September and don’t want to spend the summer studying

it is so unfair to leave us hanging like this for months, we should just get grades based on our class work and move on to transition year
