They actually finished the wall and I am still staring at the concrete in total disbelief honestly. It is just so quiet now which is surreal after all the noise but I am really happy we kept at it even when the city was being difficult.

I checked the feed this morning and I am actually stunned because the momentum is just building up so fast that it feels like the whole city is finally listening to us about this noise issue. Honestly it is wild to see so many people who live near the wall and deal with the constant traffic roar posting about it because I really thought I was the only one losing sleep over this noise.

I literally have to leave my home to get away from the traffic noise. We cannot use our decks, nor enjoy being outside with our family, because of the noise.
The noise is so loud. Other cities like south jordan have a sound wall to keep sound out and protect its residents!
Aside from noise relief, a sound wall would also help with wildlife crossing Bangerter.
This wall would significantly improve the sound in our neighborhood especially with the growing population and traffic on Bangerter Highway.
I’ve lived by Bangerter for 12 years and the noise is very loud. There are engine breaks used frequently and at night, cop cars have their lights blaring. I can’t just close the blinds because it shines through our skylights. As others have stated, it is unsafe for children, especially as the neighborhoods fill in as they have been doing.
Please finish/extend the sound wall on 1300 West.
Please finish the sound wall to reduce the noise in this area.

Blocking out the noise would be great, but this needs to be done for safety for those of us living right next to the highway. During last winter a truck slid in the slippery conditions and came almost all the way over the cement barrier. I would hate to see a person seriously hurt or property seriously damaged because there is no wall
