To change rules so that only leaseholders/seasonal campers sit on the Emerald Lake Regional Park Board with a minimum of 5 members
We the undersigned wish that the Emerald Lake Regional park board be only made up of leaseholders/seasonal campers moving forward due to non leaseholders having no vested interest in the park, and ask that no less than 5 board members sit on the board at any time so that a fair democracy can be achieved. We therefore ask to remove Faye Johnston and replace her with a leaseholder/seasonal camper, and request the minimum amount of board members to be 5 on an permanent basis moving forward.

Seeing this progress helps me keep going even when the silence from the board feels heavy. It is exhausting to fight for a seat at the table but knowing I am not the only one who sees this inequity makes the struggle feel worth the effort.

Site B4. My family has been coming out here for 40 years and it just makes sense that the folks making the rules are the same ones actually paying to use the park all summer long.
Cabin A We need a board that can bring different experiences to allow good decisions to be made for the park. 3 board members cannot bring that particularly when there is a limited number of boardmembers that are also leaseholders.
My family has been at emerald lake since 1960. I was raised out at this lake and have been coming here for the last 28 years. Now a lease holder at site s7
Since 1960 we have owned cabins and now a leased seasonal S7 on the provincial side of Emerald Lake Regional Park.
Cabin leaseholder at site A13. I have been coming to Emerald Lake since 1961 and believe that the best people to have on a board or council are those that have a vested interest in the park, so the ELRP Board should consist of cabin owners or seasonal campers.
