I am absolutely fuming! Just been told by a family member that they just went to visit Rosalie-Jade's Grave (my Daughters Grave) and there was DOG POO at the head of her Grave!!!!! I am so evil over this that this will now be the 3rd time I have phoned the council about Dog Walkers walking through the Cemetery with Dogs off the lead and letting them crap all over the place! I have sent photos of the Dog Poo and people with their Dogs and they do nothing!!! My daughter couldn't come home because she was taken from us which means that her Grave to me is like her Bed, her little Home, and this is making me sick that people are letting their dogs mess all over it!!! It's heartbreaking to know that people are so rude with no respect at all!!!!

I honestly cannot believe how many of you reached out after reading this because it feels like finally people are seeing how much damage is being done to these graves. My hands were shaking so hard just typing that first post but seeing the response helps me feel like maybe someone in charge will actually have to listen now.

My son stepped in some a few months ago when visiting my dads grave. It's disgusting. It's not a place for dogs.

There are so many places to walk dogs around kennington so dogs should be banned from here. This has caused one family so much hurt and upset and will be many more familys if this continues.

As a responsible dog owner I can't believe how other dog owners could be so ignorant to leave their dogs mess anywhere let alone on a grave. If a ban is what it takes to stop this happening then bring on the ban, it can't happen soon enough!

I go to my son grave every week at bybrook cemetery and I have to watch people walking their dogs and I have on numerous occasions told the walkers to stop letting their dogs urinate over the head stones I find this very disrespectful and to put the dog on a lead. Regards shani southern

Disgraceful that people would want to walk their dogs here!! My mum is buried here and the thought of dogs mess near her grave is enough to make my blood boil. This is a place for people to come and grieve for loved ones and think of precious memories. Take pets to the woods. And for goodness sake pick up after your pet!!

So disrespectful to let dogs foul where baby's lay!! And then not even clear it up! I hope this petition brings a ban to dogs in the cemetery

Cemeteries are places that should be respected, as the final resting places of loved ones. Allowing dogs to foul in such places is an insult to those buried there and those who care and visit. Dogs should be banned from all cemeteries.

I know it's the minority that let their dogs foul but in order to prevent this happening a blanket ban is required. This is the quickest, cheapest and most effective way to prevent this. Fines and wardens will not deter the minority. I used to have a dog before he passed away, and out of respect I never took him to a graveyard or cemetery, and I was a responsible owner. Dogs should be banned at ALL cemeteries and graveyards throughout Kent, and if possible, the UK.
