My little boy died little over a year ago at 18 months old, since then a number of items have gone missing from the grave, including a memorial plaque with a verse and photo. Other people have had items stolen from their loved one's graves too. The council's attitude is one of which we can only describe as cold.
I would like you to sign the petition to get CCTV installed at the cemetery. I think the council has an obligation to look after people after they have left us as well as when they are here. We all pay our council tax and it is about time we received something that we wanted.
We are approaching the 1,000 signature mark which is the threshold required to force a formal response from the council office. I have drafted a request for a meeting with the head of public works and we need these numbers locked in before I submit the documentation tomorrow morning.

Cameras everywhere else but not where it counts. Get it sorted.

Put cameras up now. People deserve to leave flowers and photos without worrying if they will still be there tomorrow. Disgusting behavior from these thieves.

So sorry for your loss. No one should have to go through this. Cameras are needed asap.

Sickening. My uncle's grave was messed with last month too. Total lack of respect from the council here.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. Stealing from a baby's grave is the lowest of the low. CCTV is the bare minimum the council should provide.

The council need to stop dragging their feet. It is pathetic that people have to beg for security in a place meant for peace.
