Blues Traveler first played Red Rocks on July 4th back in 1994 and have played there 21 years and counting. This isn't a "Let's bash Blues Traveler" page but simply a way to let the powers that be know that it's time for Blues Traveler to travel on and allow other bands the opportunity to play on this date.
Have you ever been to Red Rocks on the 4th? It's amazing to see all the fireworks from around the city while you are enjoying music in the worlds most beautiful amphitheater.

The scale of this response confirms the need for a change in programming policy at the venue. I have begun drafting a formal proposal for the management team to review regarding the holiday booking rotation.

I love Blues Travelers. I've seen them at Red Rocks more than 10 times. Most of those were on the 4th of July. But it's time to give that slot a new Breath of Life. Let's switch it up.
I agree, I have been to Red Rocks on July 4th (moe. opening for Blues Traveler) it was an amazing experience but they have squatted on this date for far too long. Phish at Red Rocks on July 4th would be too amazing!
Great historic run by super talented musicians, but it's time to pass the torch.
Not to bash Blues Traveler, but they have become a nostalgia act. Let another band with more current material and a bigger following have that slot
Nothing personal! You were my first red rocks show, but I love red rocks on the 4th and would like to give another band a try.

For a venue as large as Red Rocks to assure one so-so band an annual spot on a major holiday is not only unfair, it's absurd. I did not think your objective as a thriving venue was to create a musical monopoly but rather to give people a variety of standout (and sellout) shows. Aren't you here to make money?
