Anderson Street is a vital snowmobile route that allows snowmobilers access to fuel and restaurants in the town as well as a connection to trails leading to other restaurants and bars in the Three Lakes area. In the winter, these businesses rely heavily on the snowmobilers for their livelihood and in turn generate a tax base that the Town and all of its residents benefit from. When access from Trail 13 to Maple Lake was closed a number of years ago, Anderson Street became the only direct route to access the town and its amenities. Restricting access to Anderson Street will cause snowmobilers to travel further out of the way and/or not be able to find fuel and may find this inconvenience not worth it therefore, deciding to bypass the town all together in the future. On behalf of the businesses of Three Lakes and the snowmobilers that live in or visit Three Lakes, I ask you to please sign this petition to keep Anderson Street open to snowmobiles without restrictions. This will help Three Lakes prosper and continue to be a great snowmobiling destination.
