Why would you confirm a person of questionable integrity and character? Why would you tolerate a director who lies to you and the public?

My brother is a Lieutenant in the Sheriff Division and I’ve seen first hand the frustrations that he has been subjected to over the past 4 years. It’s a shame when the deputies can’t speak out against the toxic leaders that have embedded themselves in Public Safety for fear of retaliation. True leaders listen to their personnel. It’s time to fill this position with a true leader.

He hired someone who claims to have a military background and come to find out that she didn't serve at all. He refused to fire her. Stolen valor. Fire him, then we get rid of her.

Renee Sonobe-Hong wouldn’t be qualified to be a chief of Police in any of our police departments. How can she be the deputy director of law enforcement. Espinda has managed to turn Public Safety into a joke. Get rid of him and his cronies.

Do you really think you can save overtime by not filling posts? That’ll cost the taxpayers 5.3 million in repair costs to MCCC. Nice spin though by throwing the blame on the legislature for overcrowding. How about filling vacant posts.
