Royal Mail workers parking cars on Thorpe Astley Residential Estate

I agree with all comments and also with regard to the exit from Burchnall Road on to Foxon Way which extremely dangerous due to parking of cars too close to exit kerbs

This is a very dangerous situation and frustrates all drivers. The fact that is is also a bus route adds to the problem. I have had a near miss on a couple of occasions as they are not only blocking the road but traffic coming along Foxon Way can not be seen when exiting Owen Close. S

I totally agree with all these comments, it's so dangerous and only a matter of time before a accident happens. I live on Owen close and every morning workers park opposite our drive and it can make it difficult to get in and out, also there is a resident that parks his British Gas van on the speed hump near my house and this can prevent vehicles accessing the houses. We had a delivery once and the van couldn't get passed!

Almost had several accidents at the junction of Foxon Way and Burchnall Road, with either myself or other cars being unable to see moving vehicles behind the parked cars.

When will people learn not to park on a junction, had multiple near missis

These cars often park across the junction of Owen close and as stated by various others, this is very close to the bus stop. I feel as though it is only a matter of time before a serious accident occurs as a result of this. Very dangerous!

Agree with double yellow lines. No to residents permits

I live at 1 Owen Close and I am sick of people parking opposite the junction. On the Gov.co.uk website parking opposite there Owen Close junction is breaking 5 laws... -You must not leave your vehicle in a dangerous position or where it causes any unnecessary obstruction of the road -At or near a bus stop -Opposite or within 10m of a junction except in an authorised parking space -Near the brow of a hill or hump bridge -Opposite a traffic island Parking opposite Owen Close forces traffic into the right hand lane to turn right (onto Owen Close) to face fast moving traffic coming round a fast corner/hill with poor visibilty of the road ahead. It is very dangerous!

This is extremely dangerous especially with Foxon Way being a bus route and a stop not to far from the parked cars... this must be stopped before someone gets hurt!!

I have had a number of near miss accidents trying to get out of birchnall road, I also have problems with cars been parked on birchall road and rivets meadow close, with non residents parking and not beable to park on my own street, use to the number of cars parking there.

We need double yellow lines along foxon way. It's becoming dangerous when pulling out onto foxon way as the cars parked along there can block your view & I have witnessed cars having to slam their brakes on. An accident is waiting to happen! It's a total joke, employers of Royal Mail should find alternative parking for their employees.

I would suggest that the council introduce residents permits for the area to help combat this dangerous issue.

Double yellow lines are required, and the offending employers need to arrange alternative parking for their employees

I live in Thorpe Astley and this is not safe or acceptable!
