The school administration formally adopted the pledge into the student handbook this morning. We have verified the updated policy language and will monitor its implementation during the next semester.

The "This is Our Dream" Pledge is a commitment by the young people of Pinellas Park Middle School and young people across our land to be guided in all activities by the following principles:
We will stop being racist in our actions, words, and deeds.
We will commit ourselves to peace walks instead of continuing a cycle of violence.
We will commit ourselves to stopping all violence and will replace it with being compassionate to one another.
We will be nice, refuse to instigate matters of violence, and instead we choose to spread equality to all who we encounter.
Above all, we make a commitment to stay who we are no matter what others may think or say and to value others for who they are.
This is the dream of Dr. King, This is his legacy. This is our dream.

The momentum behind this pledge indicates the district is now prepared to review our proposal for school policy changes. I am currently finalizing the formal submission packet to present to the administration board.

Racism isn't a joke, we really need to stop discriminating people just due to their skin color, or religion. I will sign this petition!
The biggest problem is racism I don't know why people judge other because of their race people are born that way they can help it but what we can do is put a stop to racism I will help racism stop its not fair to people that are no your skin to people are hurt so bad so people don't go to school we need to put a stop to racism.
we cant tell people to stop being racisit but we can at least try to get up sighns and they might see it and stop
Racism is one of the biggest problems in our world. With this petition, we can stop most, if not all racism.
Racism is a big issue now and needs to be stopped as soon as possible. Some people need to realize that words can hurt badly. Your race does not define you.
