We the citizens of Eugene Oregon and surrounding communities, will not accept the rates being charged on the February 2017 bill. It is not our fault that you (EWEB) incured serious losses from the ice storm of December 2016 but you had ample opportunity to get ready for the winter months. It's not fair in this community when we only have only one choice for our power needs and you are taking advantage of this community by trying to recoup your losses by gouging us. Most people in this town cannot afford to pay a bill that doubled over night based on estimates of power usage and we demand that you recalculate the bills and make corrections to reflect actual usage, as we are certain the majority of users power consumption did not change by twice as much. We are asking that you adjust the rates for the February bills accordingly and rebill the customers based on actual usage.

I live in a mobile home. I do not turn my thermostat above 60 at night. I got energy assistance last month but this months bill was $250!!! It took ALL of the rest of my energy assist and I still had to pay $100! I am on disability and I don,t know how I am going to pay another bill like this one!

You can't spring things on people at the last minute like this, EWEB!
My partner and I turned off our lights and lived by candle light many nights to conserve and our bill was still radically high!!
I didn't spend a cold month at home conserving heat just to end up paying the same as if I had just blasted my heater the whole time.
My bill is up by $150 this month and we had been trying to cut our electricity usage.
EWEB this has got to stop!

EWEB - there was no power outage, no transportation issue getting to our meter. Estimating usage based on the past 4 years ourself (just a simple jan-feb avg) would have yielded a ~19% increase. My bill went up 230%. Unacceptable and reeks of gouging customers to recoup losses due to poor planning.
