We have launched a Dunfermline Press campaign that calls for the new Forth replacement crossing to be called 'The Fife Bridge'.
Why? To put Fife well and truly on the map and recognise the economic benefits to the area of having an internationally iconic structure built under its name.
The aim of our campaign is to make sure the naming panel includes 'The Fife Bridge' when it creates a shortlist for a public vote.
Let’s make the panel hear our voices for Scotland’s biggest infrastructure project in a generation, a landmark that will hugely affect our lives.

Reaching this point has been a long road and the weight of your backing shows that people really care about how this landmark is remembered. I am exhausted by the pushback we have faced but seeing this level of momentum proves that we cannot let this naming process slide into obscurity.

lol imagine if they call it something silly like the queen bridge again. fife bridge sounds proper
ITS FIFE NOT EDINBURGH. ABOUT TIME WE GOT SOME CREDIT FOR ONCE.
makes sense to call it after the place its actually sitting in. enough with the weird names
should have been named this from the start. sick of driving over something that feels like it belongs to nowhere
the name keeps us on the map for all the tourist traffic coming off the road. good shout

Am surely the Falkirk people won’t believe it under very windy of sea side football. Am, sure Falkirk fans love ,it crossing the bridge just about every game lol good luck in pub league and mind your bucket and spade send some Postcard hahaha mon the pars
