In the close season of 2007, the Reclaim the Kop movement and Liverpool Football Club agreed on the creation of a singing section in Block 306 of the Kop. Despite the initial success of this arrangement the atmosphere created by this section has failed to spread to other parts of the ground. Due to the compact nature of the designated singing section at the back of the Kop, the noise created is limited due to the amount of seats and low roof within this area, as well as the distance from the pitch, these limitations mean the atmosphere created becomes trapped and prevents the sound travelling to the rest of the ground. We therefore call on Liverpool Football Club to take all necessary steps, including the expansion of the singing section, to ensure the team can benefit fully from the atmosphere that the club and the stadium have grown famous for and deserves.
