Hello fellow football fans, In the last few years the atmosphere at football grounds all over the UK has been dying a slow death,half empty grounds and sky high ticket prices have no doubt contributed to this,as well as police and stewards being overly strict, but one of the main reasons in my opinion is all seated stadiums.Gone are the days when we used to have amazing colour and noise coming from the terraces,now what we have at most grounds is nothing more than near silence other than to applaud when goals are scored.

 After the terrible tragedy at Hillsbrough in 1989,the British government changed the law forcing clubs to introduce these all seated grounds for health and safety reasons.Obviously fans' safety must come first,there is no doubt about that but any of you familiar with Germany's Bundesliga will be aware that they have standing areas for fans which does not seem to present any problems.This particular league is the best supported in Europe,and I honestly believe the main reason for this is not the actual standard of football itself but the amazing noise and colour created by the fans which makes for a more enjoyable day out.So if the Germans can do it and still be safe, why cant we?

I have set up this petition to try to get as many names as possible so that I can send it to the Goverment, the F.A and the S.F.A to give them an idea about how the fans feel (long shot I know,but worth a try at least). So if your tired of going to the match and sitting in silence and wish we could go back to good the good old days of non stop singing and chanting then please sign it.
