This petition is to demand that the The Woodlands Subdivision Sewer Co-Op Association suspend current action until a community meeting is held to discuss its plans for a solar panel project, to address the concerns of the association members (The Woodlands Residents), and to allow for a community vote.

All members of the Co-Op need to be informed of what is happening prior to finalizing the installation of 8-foot-tall solar panels in the neighborhood. The Sewer Co-Op has begun working with a solar company to install solar panels in the wetlands lot to operate the electrical needs of the community. Not only has a company been selected for the project, a payment has been submitted, and plans have already been laid out by a local solar company.

This project would cost the Co-Op approximately $50,000, and will only show a return on the investment after 13 years. These 8-foot-tall solar panels will be seen from the road and obstruct the view of the natural landscape we have all moved to the mountains to enjoy. The concern and reason for this petition is that this solar panel project has not been shared with the entire community, and concerns from the neighboring homeowners that have been informed have not been addressed prior to moving forward with this project.

While this project may be beneficial to the neighborhood in years to come, it is important to have any and all concerns addressed before finalizing this project. Please sign this petition to help the neighborhood come together and allow The Woodlands Residents to discuss this investment and what it means for the future of our neighborhood.
