The meer desire for ANYONE wanting to keep this racial, demoralizing monument up as some sort of 'landmark' is utterly distasteful and is a slap in the face of African Americans and any decent Caucasian American. It should come down with no hesitation or resistance.

The slave market should have been moved or torn down many years ago. Nothing good for descendents of slaves sold can be gained by keeping it there
