This is going to be a long comment but please read . I have always had a problem with removing things like this . Erasing history good or bad is not the answere. Who chooses what history should be turn down and burned ? Should we also burn the Amistad , remove all traces of slavery and oppression from the history books ? Please ask your self who actually gains from tearing down history ,the American government or African Americans . I just learned the other day that non of my kids have been taught about what happened to the American Indians , how they were killed , starved ,given blankets with small pix and made to walk the trail of tears . Ask yourselves with all this gone when will the Giverment start removing this stain and your struggle from history ?

Please eliminate systematic racism. We want to feel real again. We are a humanistic culture.

Yes, I support this cause but it is also a constant reminder that we will never allow our lives to become a market for suppression

If you can’t tear it down please remove it and bring it to the Martin Luther king museum. Things like this should never be forgotten . I am so sorry for your pain . Please do what is best for you and everyone in your community
Place it in a history museum
