We are approaching 500 signatures and need to maintain this momentum to prove the community stands with the Warkentin family. Post the link to your Facebook page right now and text three friends to ask them to sign. These numbers will force the government to reconsider this unfair deportation.

The stories you are posting in the comments show exactly why this fight is necessary. Call the Minister of Immigration today to demand they stop this deportation. Tell them that a family belongs in our community.

The Warkentin family deserve to stay in Canada. They are self supporting and have invested in their future here. What's happening here is certainly discrimination when they are being turned away for the reasons they are. They should be allowed to become permanent residents.

This family is contributing so much to their community. We cannot put a monetary value on any human being. This young girl has so much to offer. To not see her potential is so short sighted. We all have challenges some are more visible than others. They must remain in Canada.

It is embarrassing that immigrants who cross the border illegally are allowed to stay while a family who have taken the proper steps to immigrate legally are denied! A family who owns a business, pays taxes, and contributes to their community are denied. How is this right?

This family and their business are a great asset to their community and a blessing to so many people. To force them to leave because of their daughter's disability would be a travesty. Our country stands for so much more than this policy portrays.

We need to keep families like the Warkentin's in Canada. They are a productive family and are making contributions to our country and province by providing employment opportunities in a very economically depressed region of our country.

I would like to say that these folks have been a great strength to this community and provided work for many people around the area and to lose them would be a disservice for all concerned ilife and I support they're stay in this country and to build up the community that they are serving

Can't see any reason why this productive and contributing family should not be able to stay when there are so many non-contributors out there allowed to stay. This government needs to take more into consideration.

How can you be deported if you are here legally?
