My fellow citizens I am writing to you today about your right to marry the person of your choice and live in this country. The government has incarcerated my wife and state she cannot be my wife in this country. This is despite the fact they have shown no evidence of wrong doing by my wife. She is not a criminal and has never hid from the authorities. She is the mother of three US citizen children. In order to do this they have violated my family’s civil rights and I am now pleading with you to help protect your rights and get her out of jail to see her family and friends before she goes to Australia where we hold permanent residency status.
