Anyone who has survived breast cancer will tell you that early detection will save your life. In fact, the 5 year survival rate decreases by 84% between stage 0 and stage 4. Thanks to modern technology, we are now able to detect breast cancer through mammography. However, not everyone can afford a mammogram to detect breast cancer. Did you know there are still 37 states in the U.S. that do not presently have a bill enacting the right for citizens to provide any type of financial coverage for mammography. By signing this petition, our legislature will know that we want the right to financial coverage for mammography for those who cannot afford it.
