I'm creating this petition in hope of lowing the age for a mammogram. I think early awareness is key in making a cancer free tomorrow. If it were possible for a 20 year old to go to a free mammo screening and get a mammo this might help with early detection.

I'm a 34 year old mother of 4 kids who has recently found a lump in my right breast because I'm only 34 I'm having to fight tooth and nail to get a mammogram. I don't think its fair because I'm only in my 30s I have to beg to find out if what I found could take my life. So I'm starting this event in hopes I get 10000 people involed. Once I get 10000 people I'm going to start a legal petition to lower the age of having a mammo. I would appericiate your support. I will work my hardest and do what I have to do to try and make this happen. If u support me please invite all your friends to join us. Thanks in advance.

Updates

February 26, 2013

The volume of support has reached a level that allows me to schedule meetings with regional health policy coordinators. I am currently finalizing the formal request for a policy review to present during these upcoming discussions.

Keep fighting!! No one should have to beg for their own health.

This is so unfair. My cousin was diagnosed at 28 and they told her she was too young for screening. She should still be here.
