The parents of Bridlington School children should have the right to buy school trousers or skirts without logos from whichever retailer they see fit.

OH HELL NO

I'm a single mum with 3 children, one of which is disabled an they expect me to pay for trousers at £19.50 a pair well does that mean my son and daughter have to starve or go without nappies to clothe their sister for school.

This needs to be sorted out

this is so ridiculous I can think of more important things the school could be doing rather than making the uniform a maint priority and making money tighter for the parents that already struggle.

Disgusting really. The school should keep the old uniform policy in place. Just because the minority can't be bothered to adhere to the original policy doesn't mean that the majority should be punished. It's also very discriminatory to ban skirts for girls. I believe Brid School needs a re-think.

The government website on school uniform policy states that. Each school decides its uniform and must not discriminate based on gender race or disability surely then the no skirt policy is discriminating between the sexes it also clearly states to contact citizens advice if you are forced to buy uniforms from an expensive suppliers it makes me wonder if school receives a small donation probably 30p or less an item sold if that is the case you expect us to pay 300 percent more so that theschool receives their token payment if that is the case it is totally disgusting I will be enquiring if this is the case ifso there will be a letter in the free press so that everyone will be aware of the facts and will hopefully prevent people being exploited so that the school can receive a token donation

Absolutely ridiculous and ludicrous!! They changed the logo on school shirts n jumpers last year so people had to buy new stuff n now this. Does the head get commission from k+a? Is she part owner of it?. The trousers from there are garbage anyway. They dint fit properly and are poor quality. Being told where to get trousers from is bang out of order. She needs her head examining. Many families cant afford the prices quoted hence why they get them cheaper elsewhere. Cant see how a logo on trousers will help a childs education in the slightest.

I do not think it is right for this uniform change, if a girl wants to wear a skirt to skirt you cannot take the right away from someone. Wearing trousers is fine but telling them what shop to buy from is outrageous because no one spend 20 pound on one pair of school trousers just for them to have a badge on which I feel will also downgrade the school image.

Why should I have to pay for a new pair of shcol trousers and uniform every week , plus it will look daft

I am a student at brid school and I just read the letter my mum got yesterday and I think this no skirts is horrible

brid school want att pupils to feel equal all to have the same unifom and then you go and add more , how do you expect familys on a low income to afford all this.
